About Us – Shield of Hope Foundation
Shield of Hope Foundation was founded by Jerry Lyle, a U.S. Navy veteran who served eight years total —two years in training, two years aboard the USS John C. Stennis, one year on the USS Harry S. Truman, and a three-year NATO assignment in Naples, Italy (2000–2008). After leaving the Navy, Jerry continued serving alongside America’s finest — supporting the 2nd Battalion Army Rangers, the FBI, U.S. Special Operations Command, and the U.S. Space Force.
Across nearly two decades of military and federal contracting service, one truth became clear: the battles we face within are just as critical as those fought abroad. But these struggles aren’t limited to veterans alone — they affect families, children, and everyday people across the nation.

Break the Cycle of Violence — Addressing the roots of disenfranchisement, isolation, and despair that can lead individuals down destructive paths.

Shield of Hope is more than a nonprofit — it’s the seed of a movement. As we grow, we are committed to expanding into:
Family Support Programs — After-school and childcare programs that relieve the burden on parents and provide safe, uplifting environments for children.
Community Education — Resources and training to help young people build emotional maturity, resilience, and hope.
Domestic Violence Ranch — A long-term vision to create a safe haven for abused women and children — a working ranch where they can heal, learn self-sufficiency, and rebuild their futures through agriculture and farming.
